Temperature Capabilities
600F to 1000F (depending on tip, and battery State of Charge). Temperature ramp-up from ambient conditions is 6-8 minutes with a continuous run time of 4 hours depending on ambient environmental conditions.
Power Supply
The Soldering Iron is powered by the Power Supplies included in the MCH-100-A/AB/C/CE/NG Battery Powered Heat Gun Kits.
Standards & Testing
Tested to perform in Harsh Environments, the MCH-116 Kit exceeds Military Standard Requirements for use in explosive atmospheres, zero electromagnetic interference environments, and in robust handling battle deployment situations, the MCH-116 is approved for use on fueled aircraft by NAVAIR; eliminating the need for an auxiliary power unit, power cable spreads and open flames on flight decks during avionics repairs.

Product Development History
Soldering on an aircraft can be a challenge as power may not be available. Developed using the same power supply as the MCH-100-A Battery Powered Heat Gun Kit the MCH-116 Kit was designed to be used in combination with the Heat Gun to provide a complete portable heat solution to the aircraft maintainer.
