BATTERY POWERED COMPOSITE HOT BONDER REPAIR SYSTEM FOR ON-SITE REPAIRS

A new repair system for military and commercial aviation and windmill composite component repairs in the field that features a DC Silicone heated Blanket, Thermocouple, Fully Programmable Temperature Controller, and a portable 48V DC battery pack is being introduced by Malcom Company, Inc. of Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

The Malcom DC Hot Bonder Composite Repair System features a DC Silicone Heated Blanket, user-programable COTS Watlow temperature controller with one thermocouple input.   When powered by Malcom’s 48V battery pack it allows on-site repairs in the field on windmill blades, aircraft components such as helicopter blades and other composite structures.

Capable of continuous operation for up to two hours, depending upon ambient temperature, heated blanked wattage, and other settings, the Malcom Composite Repair System and battery pack is easily transported into the field.  Malcom offers a range of battery powered 48V DC Silicone Heated Blankets up to 300 watts.
